Overview

This Billing, Subscription, and Refund Policy describes how Income Lab, Inc. (“Income Lab,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) charges for and manages subscriptions to the Income Lab platform and services (the “Service”).

By signing up for or purchasing access to the Service, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. Free Trial

Income Lab may offer new users a free trial.

By starting a free trial, you agree to the following:

  • You must provide a valid payment method at the time of registration.
  • You will not be charged during the trial period.
  • At the end of the trial period, your account will automatically be charged for the subscription plan you selected unless you cancel before the trial ends.

2. Subscription Plans and Automatic Renewal

Income Lab offers both monthly and annual subscription plans.

All subscriptions:

  • Are billed in advance
  • Automatically renew
  • Continue until canceled by the user.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize Income Lab to automatically charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the beginning of each billing cycle.

Renewal charges occur:

  • Monthly plans: every month on the billing anniversary date
  • Annual plans: every 12 months on the billing anniversary date

Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled prior to the next billing date.

3. Payment Authorization and Stored Payment Methods

By providing a payment method to Income Lab, you authorize us to automatically charge:

  • Your default payment method, and
  • Any additional payment methods stored on your account, if necessary.

If a payment attempt on the default payment method fails, Income Lab reserves the right to charge any other payment methods associated with the account to complete payment.

Users are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment information.

4. Failed Payments and Grace Period

If a payment attempt fails, Income Lab may:

  • Retry the payment automatically
  • Attempt to charge other payment methods stored on the account

When a bill becomes past due, all users will be locked out until payment is collected. Income Lab provides a 14-day grace period to resolve failed payments.

  • Access to the Service will be suspended.
  • Income Lab may attempt multiple payment retries.

During this period:

If payment is not successfully collected within 14 days, Income Lab reserves the right to:

  • Cancel the subscription
  • Terminate account access
  • Revoke access to the Service

Users may need to contact support and resubscribe to regain access.

Payments processed after the original renewal date will not affect future renewal dates.

5. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Seat Changes

Users may change their subscription plan at any time.

Upgrades and Downgrades

If a user upgrades their subscription:

  • The difference in price will be charged immediately to the default payment method on file
  • Charges will be prorated based on the remaining time in the billing cycle
  • The upgraded plan takes effect immediately.

Seat Changes

If a user adds seats to their subscription:

  • The new seats are available right away
  • The prorated difference in price is charged immediately to the default payment method on file
  • Charges are prorated based on the remaining time in the billing cycle

If a user removes seats from their subscription:

  • The seat removal will apply at the next billing cycle
  • Users will retain their current seats until the billing period ends.

Deleting or disabling a user in the app does not constitute a seat change; firm admin users must contact support to remove the license from the subscription.

6. Cancellation Policy

Users may cancel their subscription at any time through their account settings or by contacting Income Lab support.

However:

  • Cancellations must occur at least 3 days before the next billing date to avoid being charged for the upcoming billing cycle.

To cancel your subscription, you must fill out the cancellation form under the Billing and Payments page inside your Income Lab account.

If a user cancels after a billing charge has occurred:

  • The payment will not be refunded
  • The subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • Access to the Service will continue until the paid billing period expires.

7. Refund Policy

Income Lab operates a prepaid subscription model.

Unless otherwise required by law:

  • All subscription payments are non-refundable

Income Lab does not provide refunds or credits for:

  • Partial billing periods
  • Unused time
  • Downgrades
  • Cancellations made after the billing date

If a user cancels after a subscription payment has been processed, the subscription will remain active until the end of the billing period, but no refund will be issued.

Income Lab may provide refunds only at its sole discretion in cases of verified billing errors.

8. Trial Abuse and Promotional Abuse

Free trials and promotional offers are intended for new users evaluating the Service.

Income Lab reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that attempt to abuse free trials or promotional offers.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials
  • Using different payment methods or identities to bypass trial limitations
  • Circumventing billing restrictions or safeguards

Income Lab may determine eligibility for trials or promotions at its sole discretion.

9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Users agree to contact Income Lab support to resolve billing issues before initiating a chargeback.

If a user initiates a chargeback or payment dispute, Income Lab reserves the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate the account
  • Revoke access to the Service
  • Restrict future purchases or subscriptions

Income Lab may submit evidence to the payment processor, including but not limited to:

  • Subscription agreement records
  • Billing confirmations
  • Usage logs
  • IP address records
  • Login activity
  • Acceptance of Terms of Service
  • Communication Records

These records may be used to dispute chargebacks and demonstrate that the service was provided.

10. Enterprise Agreements

Enterprise customers may enter into separate contractual agreements with Income Lab.

Where such agreements exist:

  • The terms of the enterprise contract will govern billing, refunds, and payment terms
  • Enterprise terms may supersede this policy.

11. Account Termination

Income Lab reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion if users:

  • Violate the Terms of Service, including by sharing login credentials or unauthorized resale of the services
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse billing systems or promotional offers
  • Attempt to circumvent payment obligations

If an account is terminated due to a violation of the Terms of Service, subscription fees will not be refunded.

12. Pricing Changes

Income Lab reserves the right to modify subscription pricing at any time.

If pricing changes occur:

  • Existing users will receive advance notice
  • New pricing will apply at the next billing cycle
  • Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated pricing.

13. Policy Updates

Income Lab may update this policy periodically.

When changes occur:

  • The Last Updated date will be revised
  • Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
